GIFT MAKE-UP WORK!

For Families (parents and/or children) that cannot attend GIFT.

In order to accommodate you meeting your requirements for being the primary catechist to your children, we ask that you to turn in make-up work after missing a GIFT session* in order to credit you/your family with being in good standing with regard to faith formation**

  2. Tell one thing about a bible story or passage from the Bible Reference column or the Old or New Testament bible story on the GIFT@Home sheet
  3. State one thing about the “topic of the month” that they learned from you (the parent); information about the topic is always included in the folder

OR
IF you feel it would be appropriate, summarize what the adult presenter (on YouTube) shared

He/She should include whether they agree or disagree with the points made in the presentation and why.

NOTE: This is Optional for LOFT children
Parents
At least one parent will need to watch the YouTube broadcast of the adult presenter and make one comment on YouTube, answering the following 2 questions
1. “What are the top 3 ideas that this speaker presented that impacted or spoke to you – either positively or negatively?”
2. “What is one way you can teach your child(ren) about this month’s topic?”

Note: parents of younger children can write/print their child's summary; hand-drawn pictures are also acceptable for 1st and 2nd graders
Optional: PK and K can draw a picture of something they learned
Papers can be emailed, scanned/emailed to Sue O'Connell, or turned in to the classroom catechist on the following GIFT Sunday. If you email the document, please put “GIFT Make-up work” in the subject line, and be sure to include your name and your child’s names in the email. Note: if one of your children is sick on any month, but everyone else was at GIFT, then only that child would turn in work.
