G.I.F.T. (Growing In Faith Together) is our comprehensive approach to faith formation which empowers parents to assist their children in developing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, while strengthening their own relationship with Jesus through prayer, study and action.

G.I.F.T. meets once a month with families to continue the journey that begins at baptism. The program is designed to form, inform and transform individuals and families to live as disciples at home and in the world.

Gift Sessions are held in the Urschel Building and well as the Gellersen Engineering Building on the campus of Valparaiso University. High School sessions (grades 10-12) are held in the Antioch Room. All sessions begin at 9:15am.

GIFT Volunteer Opportunities

Our GIFT Faith Formation Program is dependent upon generous volunteers who make a difference in the lives of our young people by sharing their time, talents and faith. Training and support is provided in all areas of ministry. Please consider joining us in any of the positions we have listed on the Volunteer Form. Thank you!

Children With Special Needs

If you have a child under 18 with Special Needs and would like religious formation for your child, please email with your child's name, age, description of his or her special needs, faith formation to date (if any), and your desires for your child. Please also include sacraments received, or your request for sacraments.

Although the office of faith formation is not fully staffed to cover all special situations, we will do what we can to assist you in developing your child's understanding of the faith, to the best of his or her abilities.
